If the first part of your work is settling on an area or community in which to work, and the second part is engaging with that community, then the third part is being clear on exactly what you will do. To do this, you'll need to outline a clear plan and process that sets out what needs to be done, when and in what order, who will do it, and how you'll know you've succeeded.

This plan should, of course, be done before work starts, but developing such a plan, at least in outline, will also be an important part of your fundraising work. Anyone who is going to give you money will expect some clear evidence of what you intend to do with the money. Having a clear plan will help you draw up a good and realistic budget.
