In the majority of circumstances it is not appropriate to provide temporary toilet facilities, but alternative facilities should be investigated, e.g. local public toilets, farms, pubs, etc. Where these are not locally available, transport to the nearest facilities should be available on request. In practice this will often mean a lunchtime toilet run in the vehicle. Where a suitable supply of clean water is not available on site, at least 25 litres of water should be provided in containers for drinking, hand washing and for cleaning minor wounds in the event of an accident.
