A chance to get away. Residential projects may sound very formal but they are simply projects that involve overnight stays. This can be anything from a weekend to a fortnight. As such, they provide one of the best ways for people to get to know each other and to learn skills in more depth. For those people who are joining the group as a pastime, then a chance to get away from normal surroundings for a weekend or longer is also likely to be very popular.
