Your final day's work on a particular project is especially important. All the usual site work should be done to ensure nothing is left behind and it is also valuable to check over the site to make sure the group is happy.

It may be a suitable occasion to have some formal 'hand-over' of the site to the local community. A photograph of the finished job and all the volunteers is a good souvenir for the records. Alternatively, it may just be a good moment for a celebratory drink or barbecue, or perhaps for volunteers to stop off at the pub on the way home.
