Ultimately, your group will be judged on its work. Good work depends on the whole group, but the immediate responsibility rests with the project leader. Each project should have a leader. In the early days of a group this may be the co-ordinator but as time goes on this role may be taken on by others. The project leader is responsible for all aspects of project management on site, before work starts on the day and afterwards making sure that completion is satisfactory. Project leadership is a skill in itself; if you want to know more then why not find out about training courses available. Good advance planning can make everybody's work on the day far more productive. The project leader should lead by example, but should not get too involved in doing work and should circulate around the site. All content copyright © 1986-2008 BTCV Ltd.
