Insects are not only important in their role as plant pollinators but also form a very important link in the food chain of many of our wild creatures. The lifecycle of the butterfly provides an interesting topic for study and many of our 'creepy crawlies' are suitable material for teaching purposes. As an insect garden contains a predominance of colourful flowers and shrubs, it will enhance the appearance of your school grounds in addition to helping conserve our insect populations.
