The 1992 Earth Summit highlighted the need for different sectors of society to work together for the future of the planet. This is all part of Agenda 21, which is a mission statement for the 21st century to safeguard the environment. Many conservation groups are already working in partnerships with other voluntary organisations, local authorities, public bodies and businesses. They know that working in partnership is of great benefit to their projects. Remember that what you are doing has a range of benefits for wildlife and your local community, and think creatively about who might support you, and who you could offer help to.
